NOTE: Please note that all these locations are at an altitude of 4000 m (13100 ft) or more. All the participants will need to prepare themselves accordingly.

1. Chicham to Srimokhadang Fu (Giant Lady Cave)

  • Distance: 7 km
  • Terrain: Medium difficulty
  • Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours one way.

A short trek up a mountain trail which takes you to a mysterious ancient cave with many folk stories associated with it.

2. Chicham to Morang Fu (cave)

  • Distance: 4 km
  • Terrain: Easy
  • Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours one way.

An easy hike from Kibber or Chicham to a small natural cave which is used by locals and gaddi shepherds for shelters during certain times of year,

3. Chicham to Sambalungba

  • Distance: 6 km
  • Terrain: Easy
  • Duration: 2 hours one way.

Easy, scenic hike in and around a local tributary of Spiti river. Can be started from Kibber or Chicham.

4. Chicham to Dulla

  • Distance: 3.5 km
  • Terrain: Easy
  • Duration: 1 hour one way.

5. Chicham to Gete Village via Kibber

  • Distance: 10 km
  • Terrain: Easy
  • Duration: 2 hours one way.

6. Chicham to Takli Nala

  • Distance: 7 km
  • Terrain: Easy
  • Duration: 2 hours one way.

Easy, scenic hike in and around a local tributary of Spiti river.

7. Kibber to Tashigang Village

  • Distance: 12  km
  • Terrain: Easy
  • Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours one way.

Long hike that can be done from Kibber or Chicham (16 km) with great views of Spiti river and Key. Passes Getey village.

8. Kibber/Chicham to Parang La Trek 

  • Terrain: Difficult
  • Duration: 4 days. 2 days to Paralng La and 2 days back to Kibber /Chicham.

Instead of crossing over to Laddakh from Parang La, trekkers will trek back to Chicham or Kibber.
