Himachal Pradesh Adventure Tour Package with Village to Village treks in 22 Days
This Himachal Pradesh adventure tour package is the best option for adventurous travelers who want to explore the beautiful state and includes treks, sightseeing, camping and sightseeing as you travel over Himalayan and Dhauladhar mountain ranges. Travelers need to be in fairly good physical condition for the treks in altitude of about 4000 m.
Day 01: Delhi Arrival
Arrival at Delhi Airport and transfer to the hotel. Free rest day .
Day 02: Delhi – Chandigarh – Shimla (380 kms) (9 hours) (2100 meters)
Drive or take train towards Chandigarh early morning after breakfast, You will have lunch in Chandigarh. After lunch, drive towards Shimla by car where you will stay for the night.
Day 03: Shimla – Narkanda – Hattu Peak – Rampur – Saharan (175 Km) (7 hours) (2000 meters)
After an early morning wakeup, we will drive towards Sarhan and visit Kufri, Theog, Narkanda, Matiana on the way. A small hike to Hattu Peak (3135 m) is also possible. You wil reach Sarhan in evening and checkin the hotel for rest and overnight stay.
Day 04: Sarahan – Wangtu – Karcham – Sangla (92 Km) (4 hours) (2600 meters)
Sightseeing in Sarhan will begin by an early morning visit to bird park. Then it’s time for Bhim Kali temple. This temple used to be a site where human sacrifice used to be practiced many centuries past. After temple, you will drive towards Karcham and pass over Wangtu bridge and pass Jeori. After a rest stop, you will reach Sangla and check in at hotel. If there is enough time, you can visit Kamra Fort and temple of the village deity.
Day05 :- Sangla – Sangla Village and Sangla Kanda walk (4-5 hours)
This day you will spend some time exploring the Sangla village then go on a hike of about 4-5 hours through the beautiful valleys and meadows of the region. You will come across beautiful grasslands criss-crossed by numerous mountain streams originating from nearby mountains which make for a enchanting view.
Day 06: Sangla – Chitkul (3600mtrs) – Raksham – Sangla. (52 Km) (3 hours) (2600 meters)
Next morning, you will start your drive towards Chitkul ( 3460 m) which is the last village on India Tibet border, There you can take a walk in this landmark village soaking in the sights of majestic mountains and various other awe inspiring sights. Drive back to Sangla for night stay.
Day 07: SSangla – Rekong Peo – Kalpa (49 Km) (3 hours) (2950 meters)
After breakfast, you will drive towards Reckong Peo via Powari. There you will see the ancient 60 feet tall statue of Lord Buddha in all it’s glory. Then you will reach Kalpa for overnight stay. The view of majestic Kinner Kailash mountain at 6050 meters is the prime attraction in addition to the village monastery.
Day 08: Kalpa – Nako (110 Km) (5 hours) (3540 meters)
After Reckong Peo, the terrain changes to that of a high altitude desert. The drive will take you through Puh to Nako for overnight stay. Nako has one beautiful lake and monastery which are the star attractions of the place, A walk through this picturesque village is a calming experience.
Trekking Starts:
Day 09: Tabo – Dhankar – Lalung (32 Km) (4-5 hours hike ) (4,000 meters)
Leave Tabo after breakfast and drive 32 Km to reach Dhankar, the ancient capital of Kaza and visit the famous Kaza Monastery. Hke for 10 Km to reach Lalung village. Upon reaching there, rest for a while and see Lalung Monastery. Spend night in home stay.
Day 10: Lalung – Demul (7 Km) (2-3 hours hike) (4,300mtrs)
Leave Lalung after breakfast to reach Demul, a small and picturesque settlement. It’s a hike of about 7 Km in rough terrain which, Overnight stay in a family owned homestay in Demul.
Day 11: Demul – Komic (9 Km) (7 hours hike) (4,500 meters)
Leave Demul after a heavy breakfast walk. Another hike of about 10 Km which may take 7-8 hours for newbies will take you to Komic. Accommodation in a Komic homestay.
Day 12: Komic – Langza – Kaza (8 Km) (4-5 hours hike) (4,200mtrs)
Today, you will hike for about 4 hours to cover a distance of 8 km. The destination is Langza. After lunch in Langza, it’s time to visit fossil park and spot some fossils of your own. Drive to Kaza for overnight stay.
Trekking Ends
Day 13: Kaza—Key monastery—Kibber (40 km)
Drive towards Key and see it’s beautiful and historic monastery. Next stop at Kibber (4205 m) where you will stay for the night
Day 14: Kaza —Losar—Kunzum la— Chandrataal Lake
After an early morning wakeup, you will reach Chandrataal Lake while passing through Kunzum La (4551 m). where most travelers stop to pay respects to the deity and pray for safe journey. Night will be spent in a campsite about 1 km from the lake.Meaning of Chandrataal is Moon Lake and is a major attraction of Spiti.
Day 15: Chandrataal Lake— Batal – Chatru – Keylong (7 hours) (3080mtrs)
After spending some time near CHandrataal Lake, drive towards Keylong following Chandra river which originates just a few km away from the lake. Stop for lunch at Chatru and reach Keylong for night stay.
Day 16: Keylong – Trilokinaath – Udaipur – Keylong (100 kms)
After breakfast, drive towards Trilokinaath to visit famous Lord Shiva temple. Hot the road again towards Udaipur and visit Mrikula Devi temple,which is famous for it’s exquisite woodwork. Overnight stay in Hotel in Keylong.
Day 17: Keylong – Tandi – Koksar – Rohtang Pass – Manali (120 kms)
After breakfast, drive towards Manali and pass through Rohtang on the way. It is famous for its scenic beauty, greenery as well as snow. Reach Mari for lunch and then drive towards Manali. Overnight stay in hotel in Manali.
Day 18: Manali Local Sightseeing
This day will be spent in Manali sightseeing. You will visit centuries old Hidimba Temple made of wood, stone and earth, Vashishth Kund with it;s hot water springs for a relaxing soaking in for tired body, Manu temple, the only temple dedicated to Manu, considered to be the progenitor of human race in Hindu mythology.
Day 19: Manali – Kullu – Mandi – Palampur – Dharamshala – Mcleodganj (235 km) (7 hours)
Next morning, drive towards Dharmsala (Mcleodganj) via Palampur famous for tea gardens and some adventure sports. You can visit the famous Baijanath Shiv Temple if time permits. Night stay in Mcleodganj after reaching there in evening.. Reach Dharamshala late afternoon and checkin for rest and freshening up. If possible, take an evening walk through Tibetan markets of Mecleodganj and visit Dalai Lama’s temple.
Day 20: Dharamshala – Dalhousie (130 kms) (4-5 hours)
Spend some time sightseeing in Dharmsala and Mcleodganj by visiting Bhagsu Naag waterfall, Dal Lake, St John’s Church and then drive towards Dalhousie taking in views of enchanting Dhualadhar mountain range. Night stay in Dalhousie.
Day 21: Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Chamba- Dalhousie (96 Kms)
Khajjiar is often called India’s Mini Switzerland. A small lake is one of major attractions. At a little distance from the lake. an old temple of Khajji Nag which was built in 12th century attracts many visitors. The sanctum of the temple has been beautifully carved from wood in considerable detail.
Day 22: Dalhousie – Chandigarh – Delhi (550 Kms) (10 hours)
Leave for Delhi from Dalhousie after an early breakfast and reach Delhi in the evening. You can choose to avail drop off at airport, railway station or hotel.
